Why MVDat? New fragility, vulnerability, damage to loss, and business interruption models are being developed all the time, and keeping up to date with these is a significant task. The EPICentre MVDat lightens the workload of each user by creating a community of practice formed by international contributors who jointly add to the data hosted in the database. 

With EPICentre MVDat, we intend to create a large sustainable community of practice of vulnerability stakeholders, and to foster opportunities for researchers worldwide to collaborate and promote the use of their work through data sharing.
